As of June 30, 2019, the old regalia has been retired. Only the new uniform can be worn to official 4th degree events for which it is requied.

Top Coat Information

This is the current information regarding the new Top Coat that may be worn with the Fourth Degree uniform. Note that this information was collected from a series of emails from either the Vice Supreme Master or the Supreme Master to the District Masters or the Vice Supreme Masters.

  • The top coat is full cut 100% wool light weight coat that has a very nice feel and fit.
  • The new top coat will be available to ship in 3 weeks (about mid-November 2020) from The Supply Room at a cost of $225. The size needed will be the same size as your KofC uniform sport coat. The variance is built into the pattern. (If you take a 46 long sport coat, you would order a 46 long top coat.)
  • The Supply Room is building inventory now, so orders can be placed now only by calling The Supply Room sales department at 833.562.4327. As soon as inventory is ready, the top coat will ship, and this item will be added to the KofC uniform web site in the near future.
  • These are comments from the Supreme Master as to what will and what won't be allowed regarding the top coat:
    • We have to rely on the District Master or Commander to make the decision on top coats, as well as if swords are to be used.
    • I understand that everyone is not going to purchase a top coat. We don't want to deny men to participate in a call out simply because they have no top coat.
    • Let's use our common sense and have those in top coat march / stand together, and those without top coats the same. Let's not complicate things.
    • Pins, only the PG-113 pin shall be worn on the top coat lapel at the buttonhole.
    • Absolutely no service medals will be worn on the top coat. Medals are reserved for wear only on the uniform jacket.
