Michigan District 1 Ladies Corner


Fall Packing Party (same date and time as the Michigan District 1 Fall Harvest)

While the Sir Knights are engaged in their Fall Harvest meeting, the Ladies will be packing items to send to our troops overseas. We are once again working with The Desert Angel, a non-profit organization that sends much-needed items to those serving in the armed services overseas. Listed below is a list of the items needed. If you are able to bring any of these items it would be greatly appreciated.

  • FOOD AND DRINKS
    • Single serve snacks: nuts, candy (no chocolate), protein bars, granola bars, fruit snacks, dried fruit, trail mix.
    • Single serve Chex mix, goldfish crackers, Cheez Its, etc.
    • Electrolyte drink packets: Gatorade, Powerade, etc.
    • NO jerky, packets or small cans of tuna, ramen or soups.
  • RELIGIOUS ITEMS
    • Bibles are provided by the Gideons
    • Rosaries: should be non-metal, no glow in the dark.
  • HEALTH AND HYGIENE
    • ONLY TRAVEL SIZE ITEMS
    • Toothpaste
    • Dude wipes
    • Body wash
    • Q-tips
    • Haircare: shampoo and conditioner
    • Body lotion
    • NO AEROSOLS
  • OTHER ITEMS
    • Greeting Cards: Christmas, Birthday, etc.
    • Postcards
    • Personal greeting for the service personnel
    • Postage
